Angie Barrows, NAHP-e, COS - Regional Property Manager, Northwest Florida - Emmer Management
While attending Pensacola Junior College working toward an accounting degree, Angie worked various positions at several apartment communities. In 1990 she came to Emmer Management Corporation bringing with her an array of experience, from leasing agent to management and maintenance to renovation. She has held just about any position relating to the apartment industry. Growing with The Emmer Group, she has earned titles ranging from apartment manager, area manager, project manager and, now, regional property manager. While her specialty is in management of low-income housing, in which she currently manages two low income housing properties in Pensacola, she also manages the daily operations of a student community in Pensacola as well. Angie also handles any renovation or reconstruction job that arises for The Emmer Group in the Northwest Florida area.
She is an active member of several apartment associations including local, state and national. Her dedication to continuing her education has earned her success in gaining certifications, accreditations and designations that include Certified Assisted Housing Manager, Notary Public, Site-Based Budget Specialist, Fair Housing Coach/504 Coordinator, Certified Professional of Occupancy and National Affordable Housing Professional Executive.
One of her most memorable honors in the industry was receiving a personal invitation from the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to visit the Washington, D.C. office for the honor of receiving an accreditation of “Top 100 Performing Properties in the United States”.
Angie thrives on action and loves the company of those that make things happen. Her favorite quote, “only positive action can cause positive reaction”.
She contributes her success to a team of fourteen in Pensacola and their dedication of getting the job done!
