When you visit your selected lender, they will require the following items from you:

8. Landlord addresses & phone numbers for past two years

9. Copy of your EDC sales contract with any change orders

10. Personal check for appraisal & credit report

11. Certificate of eligibility & DD214 (VA only)

 

EDC requires that you obtain an approval letter from your lender and submit to EDC within two weeks of contract  

signing. This means that you MUST actually decide on a lender and submit application. This will usually cost about $300-$350, which pays for your appraisal and credit report.
